Tyler Grinds His Gears

You know what really grinds my gears…

Grinds My Gears 22

It’s been a while since I’ve had a chance to really let everyone know what’s been grinding my gears, so without further ado, Ya wanna know what really grinds my gears?  Married people that share Facebook accounts.  How lame can you get? You can’t even have your own Facebook account? Really? I wonder if these people think that you have to pay for Facebook accounts or something, that’s the only remotely logical explanation for people doing this, but if they had one ounce of common sense they would realize that Facebook is FREE! IDIOTS!! I’m not sure if the couples that do this think that it’s cute to have an account under the name JohnandCindy Smith or if both of them are ridiculously insecure in their relationships that they have to force the other to share everything they do online with them.  I’m thinking that it’s the latter, which is sad.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is Chris Johnson.  Listen buddy, you got your obscenely big contract, so why don’t you go ahead and start playing football the way you did two years ago.  There’s no way that you’ve lost that much speed and elusiveness over the course of the last two seasons.  The more games I watch, the more I think that the Titans would have been better off letting you sit out for a year and having Javon Ringer be RB1 instead.

What’s the deal with feather extensions, ladies? It makes it look like you have a dead bird in your hair. It’s not attractive. I don’t know when or where this trend started, but it needs to be put to an end.  It is ridiculous.

Things that don’t grind my gears:

1. Pie in the Sky

2. Jack Daniel’s

3. Gus Johnson’s commentary

4. Bassnectar on NYE

The NBA is another thing that’s just been annoying lately.  These players are the most overpaid athletes in the world and yet, they’re crying for more money.  I even heard one of these players compare playing in the NBA to slavery.  Just a note; if you’re a professional athlete making millions of dollars, DO NOT COMPARE YOURSELF TO A SLAVE! IT WILL MAKE YOU SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT! I know that not ALL of the players in the NBA make obscene amounts of money, but it seems like its always the ones that are making the big bucks are the ones complaining about needing more money, case in point, Latrell Sprewell turned down a three year, $21 million contract in 2005 because it wasn’t enough to feed his kids.  Really?!? What are your kids eating that $21 million of three years isn’t enough to keep them fed? Oh, and by the way, since then, Sprewell has been banned from seeing his children, had two homes foreclosed on, and grounded his million dollar yacht.

The final thing that has been grinding my gears is people that share Facebook accounts.  I know, I know, I’ve already said that in this post, but IT’S STUPID! There is absolutely no point in sharing accounts on Facebook! Come to think of it, I’d be willing to bet that if you have friends that share a Facebook, they are probably the jerks that send you a thousand farmville requests a day and are consistently the most annoying people that you know, and that you’ve probably contemplated just defriending them because of all of their idiocy.

Ya know what really grinds my gears? Valentine’s Day. The commercialization especially. Its like the candy and greeting card companies are trying to make people in relationships attempt to have an über romantic day/night and make those not in relationships wish they were in relationships.

What doesn’t grind my gears:
Pitchers and catchers reporting to camp today.

That’s all for today folks.

Ya wanna know what grinds my gears? People that misspell words, I mean, it’s 2011, everything has spell check. There is no excuse for misspelling anything anymore. It’s not like we’re all hand writing letters and using typewriters anymore. Another thing that grinds my gears is when people incorrectly use homophones (i.e. of coarse instead of of course). When people do that it just makes them seem stupid to me, and I always want to call them out on it but I don’t want to be an asshole.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is Justin Bieber. Especially because he won AMA Artist of the Year. He’s not an artist. He is a prepubescent Canadian boy (or girl, you decide). His songs have no substance to them whatsoever, its not art, it is air pollution and when I hear his music I feel like my ears are being raped.

Good day.

You know what really grinds my gears? The fact that national sports media outlets think that its some great tragedy that the Dallas Cowboys have a losing record.  The thing about this that grinds my gears the most is that the Titans’ defense forced three turnovers against the Cowboys last Sunday and on SportsCenter Monday morning the only Titans’ highlight that they showed was Chris Johnson, who by the way is on pace to rush for 2,000 yards again, diving over the top for a one yard touchdown, yet they showed two Cowboys touchdowns and an excessive celebration penalty that Dallas incurred.  Another thing about the Cowboys that grinds my gears is Tony Romo.  This guy is undoubtedly one of the luckiest guys in the world.  Even Dallas owner Jerry Jones acknowledges that they got lucky with Romo, but when you talk to Cowboys fans, they think that Romo is God’s gift to Football.  While we’re talking about lucky Quarterbacks, lets talk about Tom Brady and Matt Cassel.  Matt Cassel is by far more lucky than Tom Brady is to be a starting quarterback in the NFL, but lets be honest with ourselves for a minute people, they are both very lucky to be playing today.  If it weren’t for Drew Bledsoe getting injured in 2001, Brady would have never gotten onto the field, and Bledsoe would have finished his career in Foxborough and the Patriots would have undoubtedly drafted a new franchise Quarterback forcing Brady to stay on the bench.  Anybody know another NFL quarterback that got onto the field because of a Drew Bledsoe injury? That’s right, Tony Romo.  Matt Cassel is luckier than Brady and almost as lucky as Romo because if Brady hadn’t torn his anterior cruciate ligament in the first game of the 2008 season he would have never seen the field.  Let’s not forget that Matt Cassel hadn’t started an organized football game since his senior season in high school before week two in 2008.

Things that don’t grind my gears:

  1. Sam Adams Light
  2. My HTC Droid Incredible
  3. Having a steady income, finally
  4. The Texas Rangers beating the Yankees today

Back to the grinding; another thing that grinds my gears is the amount of time it took me to find an “adult job” after graduating college.  This really made me mad because it just didn’t seem like I was ever going to be gainfully employed, and I also took a hiatus from this blog during my search just in case potential employers did some googling and found it and did not like it.

So its been a long three years, but I’m back baby.  Hope you all enjoyed this.

That is all.

Ya wanna know what really grinds my gears? The amount of time that we had to wait in line at Nashville Shores to get on the beach. It was ridiculous, and don’t even get me started on the fact that they made us wear life jackets even though we are all able to swim, and Andy and I are both Eagle Scouts. That was probably what ground my gears the most about the whole ordeal.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is my roommate Matt Heuer. He acts like a complete dumbass when he is drunk. As a matter of fact, he was drunk at one o clock this afternoon. Then, while we were watching the women’s college world series, he gets out his queer ass Scottish flute.  I mean, seriously, who plays a Scottish flute? That’s right, assholes. On second thought, it was pretty funny, and he was trying to write a song… drunk, ’nuff said. I’m not entirely sure what the purpose of writing a song on a Scottish flute is, because I’m pretty sure that there isn’t a very large market for Scottish flute music, but nonetheless, he was exercising his creativity.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is annoying little kids that try to push you off of the trampoline that is in the lake. It was just completely unnecessary that these small children were trying to push me off of it, but they were trying to anyway.

Things that don’t grind my gears:
1. The big yellow slide at Nashville Shores
2. Baseball
3. Mike Lowell plowing over not one, but two Yankee infielders
4. Destroying things
5. Arizona softball players

Another thing that really grinds my gears is ESPN not having enough close ups of the Arizona softball players during their coverage of the Women’s College World Series.

The last thing that has been grinding my gears is how some of these softball players get a running start before they swing at the pitch. This really just doesn’t make any sense to me, because it just adds more difficulty to something that is already difficult.

Need I say more?

Ya wanna know what really grinds my gears? Being a college graduate for over six months and still not having an “adult” job. It’s not like I haven’t been trying to find a job, its just that I can never get a second interview with any of the companies that I interview with.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is the New York Yankees. They have always been something that grinds my gears, but I finally chose to let it be known to the public. More specifically, I do not like George Steinbrenner. The man ruined baseball. I don’t care how many world series’ the Yankees have won since he has owned the team, he didn’t do it the way that you are supposed to which is to draft and raise up your own star players instead of just buying the best players that are available. I’m not completely against paying the price for talent, but there is a line which Steinbrenner has crossed.

Things that don’t grind my gears:
1. The new Transformers movie coming out
2. Futurama
3. Being a college graduate

The final thing that has been grinding my gears is…well, that’s actually it for now.

Ya know what really grinds my gears? We’ll actually nothing right now, so here’s some things that don’t grind my gears.

1. Baseball Season starting on Sunday
2. Not having to work at LensCrafters anymore
3. Entourage Season 3 coming out on DVD on Tuesday
4. The Pool at Andy’s apartment
5. Summer time
6. The smell of fresh baked bread
7. Watching the sun set

Ya wanna know what really grinds my gears? The LSAT really grinds my gears. The reason that the LSAT grinds my gears is because studying for it ruined two and a half weeks of my life.  Another thing about the LSAT that really grinds my gears is that the people that were working there did not really seem to know what they were doing, and it took like five fucking hours to take the damn test.

Another thing that really grinds my gears is being sick. This has been particularly grinding my gears because I was sick while I was trying to study for the LSAT, which really just made things difficult.

Things that don’t grind my gears:
1. Daisuke Matsuzaka (New Red Sox pitcher from Japan)
2. Baseball spring training starting
3. Tennessee beating Kentucky in basketball to remain undefeated at home this season
4. The Nashville Predators

Another thing that has been grinding my gears is Valentine’s Day. The reason that Valentine’s Day is grinding my gears is because I think that it is one of the most useless holidays in existence. It was created by Hallmark just so they can make a buck.

The final thing that grinds my gears is people that are fake. This is probably one of the most annoying things that a person can do. I hate it when people act one way to your face, but when you’re not around they talk all kinds of shit about you. I mean, if you don’t like someone, just fucking act like it and don’t act like you’re their friend when they are around, and then talk all kinds of shit when they’re not. It’s that easy.
