So the husband and I were having a serious conversation that went strangely, horribly wrong yesterday and it left me laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. It went something like this:
Andy: “Hey babe, this picture looks just like you. (pauses) Except you’re not a black guy with a mustache.”
Me: “Ummmm…”
Andy: “Wait a minute…”
And he said it in all seriousness. I suppose that’s what happens when you don’t really think before you speak.

The other day, Andy was making his lunch (a Hungry Man microwave meal). I told him to follow the instructions on the box, but he didn’t want to. He figured if he just totaled up the total number of minutes on the box, it’d be fine. His reasoning as he explained it to Tyler was simple:
“A meal for men can’t have complex directions like ‘remove brownie halfway through.’”
Well, sure enough the brownie was hard as a rock. I thought this was incredibly funny (and so did Tyler), and incredibly typically Andy. I suppose this is why I cook the vast majority of the meals around here.
